Classes @ Oasis
Beginners - start with BellydanceNOW, a six week course where you will learn
the basic moves and rhythms of the dance. Times, dates and booking details on
our class schedule.
Starting bellydance with Oasis -

Mondays: Milaya Iskanderaya with Fereshta. A cheeky dance inspired by the Alexandrian girls in Egypt, who
use tightly wrapped satin veils to show off their form. Using steps from Keti's A-Z Routines and interpretations
from Paola from Kuala Lumpur. After that, Habibi Zill dance commences October 6.
Thursdays Daytime: Mixed Level Class with Fereshta.
Funky veil dance with sensuous moves and shimmies. In this class you will meet
other passionate women, learn some Bellydance technique and fun group dances.
Thursdays at MosArts with Kerry. Classes for beginners and
continuing students of the dance, explore the earthy and elegant
Egyptian style of music and dance known as baladi. Note these
classes are on hiatus while Kerry embarks on research trips.
Thursday nights at Oasis: Commencing October 9 join the Zill Orchestra with Jilyan.
Learn to play the finger cymbals and move beyond simple triples into more complex
rhythms and textured sounds. The aim is to create a group performance where we make
our own music to accompany our dance.
Tuesdays: Beyond Beginners - Intermediate with Rose. Are you ready to move on from beginners? This class is
for you. Take the next step literally into understanding the essence of belly dance - Choreography, technique,
and musicality.
Wednesdays: Performance Essentials - Advanced with Rose. This is a unique class catering
for those who wish to challenge themselves and take their dancing to a new breathtaking
level. Dynamic yet workable choreographies that can be applied to any situation - Haflas,
concerts, restaurants etc. Or just simply strengthen your technique and develop confidence in
your own dancing.
Wednesdays: Core Moves & Concepts: Putting it All Together with Min.
A progressive level class to consolidate & expand core moves and refine technique
while creating fun, full-length Bellydance routines. Guaranteed to increase your
confidence!
Bellydance Bootie Camp with Rose ... Funny name: serious results. This course
features specific exercises using dumbbells, fitballs, and therabands that will improve and build
strength, core stability, postural awareness and flexibility to help maximise and enhance your
belly dancing and decrease risk of injury.

Bootie Camp News Flash! Bellydance Bootie Camp will be "under construction" whilst Rose
is off becoming a certified Pilates instructor. Stay tuned for specialized Pilates classes for
Bellydancers in the new year! In the meantime, keep dancing yourself fit during the break
with Jilyan's Cardio Raks. Check our class schedule for dates.
Tuesdays: BellyShake! with Fereshta. An hour of continuous, fun bellydance. You will increase
your stamina, coordination and flexibility as the pace is raised, then finish with relaxing big stretches.
On Fridays "Tweak your Technique" with Min's new daytime class. Dance with more grace & confidence as
you refine your fundamental Bellydance moves. "It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it!"
